Weston Danley

June 7, 2009 — April 17, 2022

Dundas, MN

Our lovable golden retriever, Weston, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2022 at the age of twelve. Weston was born on June 7, 2009 to Teddy and Ella, and was the runt of the litter. He joined his human mom’s life in August 2009, and was her fur baby from day one. His human Dad joined the pack in March 2018, and quickly fell in love with his boy and partner in crime.

Weston was not a typical golden; he hated car rides and didn’t like to swim. He did love his people, especially when they gave him peanut butter, eggs, or bacon. He loved to go on walks, and had to say hi to everyone he met (or saw). He also loved to chase the ball and would sort of bring it back. Weston loved to soak up the sun, roll in the grass and take snow baths in the winter. He enjoyed de-fuzzing tennis balls, chewing on bones, and surgically de-stuffing his stuffed animals over time. Weston would greet you with a big smile and tail wag, and would grab a toy (or several) in his excitement. He would give you “fives” with his grinch feet, especially if you had a treat for him. He was constantly supervising, especially in the kitchen; always curious to see what his people were up to. He would make sure you knew when it was time for breakfast or supper, just in case you forgot (even though we never did). Weston loved getting ear scratches, belly rubs and butt scratches. Just the look of his puppy dog eyes would convince anyone to give him some love and attention. If you didn’t get the message the first time, he would nudge your hands to make sure you knew. Above all he loved to snuggle with his mom and dad, and would often try to steal mom’s side of the bed.

Weston was especially spoiled in his final days. In true Weston fashion, he went out snoring on his bed with his blanket and moose.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved. [❤️]
