Blondie was a special girl, as everyone’s dog is. We only had her 4 short years. She was 6-7 years old when we adopted her. Blondie was calm, cool, and collected, except for mice, voles, and rabbits. I’m sure she was a rabbit dog in her younger days. Every morning before our walk, she’d do a mice check in the garage. She would have made an excellent dog to sniff out whatever she was trained to sniff out. Walking with her on our gravel road was a dream. So much fun! We often said how lucky we were to get her. Such a good little dog. So much love to give; asked for so little.
One sunny day, under a perfect blue sky, we’ll once again walk up our hayfield road to a never-ending woods just full of rabbits.
Oh girl, what fun we’ll have!
Special thanks to Dr. Brad Prestemon and Angie at Heartland Animal Hospital for staying late and helping us. Also, thanks, again, to PK for Pets.
