Fritz 'Pete' Drier

March 2, 0017 — April 11, 2025

Faribault

He was loved from the day he came into this world and made his presence known - he was a talker.  His puppy note that accompanied him home included how he enjoyed morning discussions with his dad.  He loved to tell his people whenever a perceived slight occurred or he was unfairly accused of something.  He'd come running in the house - barking and 'whoo whoo'ing until his side was heard.

Fritz lived up to his 'best boy' title through his eagerness to participate in anything his people were doing.  There isn't a lot of our community that was left untouched by his paws.  Our daily walks were greeted with a constant supply of compliments by strangers and friends who couldn't ge over how pretty he was.  He basked in the attention and did nothing to facilitate helping us manage his grooming.  He loved getting pets and hated any touching not fitting that category - brushing, haircuts.  The only way we could get through it was feeding miniature biscuits to him like quarters in a slot machine.

He loved his girls and the daily drop offs and pick ups didn't work right if he wasn't in the backseat.  He knew the school pick up time and made sure we were never late.  You could tell his world was set right when all of his people were home and near him.  He loved to wrestle, play ball - any ball, boat rides, visits to Grandmas and time playing next door.  Fritz had a special relationship with his neighbors and initiated his own visits by sitting at her backdoor until the house was disrupted, and everybody came outside.

Fritz has been the dog of our families' dreams.  There's nothing we would want differently about him other than a little more time.
