Gus (Gussy to many of us) came into our world filled with adventure and love. He lived the fullest life possible, fighting hemangiosarcoma with grit, determination and perseverance, and leaving us broken hearted in the wake of his passing.
Gus exuded endless love and ambition, mixed with quite a generous dose of mischief. He thoroughly enjoyed his days of swimming, fishing, kayaking, exploring, opening presents, and meeting everyone (over and over again). Gus embraced his "middle child" stereotype, and found himself in countless "interesting" situations. He also then knew we would move mountains to save him or improve his live. He woke from each nap with a handsome sleepy smile, and wagged his tail incessantly. He was happy to give a smile, kiss, tail wag, or cuddle to anyone and everyone.
Our lives are so much better because he chose us to be his family. He was a bright spot in each second, and we will love and miss him eternally.
