Mya Nevaeh Davis/Drey

March 11, 2012 — February 27, 2024

Owatonna

Mya was born into this world on March 11th 2012, and went to heaven February 27th, 2024.  She brought love, light, joy, energy, and pure happiness into the world.  Everyone who met her fell instantly in love.  She was the sweetest, most gentle husky.  She spent her life zooming around the house, chasing squirrels, enjoying treats, constantly making grandma and grandpa let her outside to sit on the porch, and protecting her family.  Her favorite activities were going for walks (especially the walks to the rodeo ground and church with grandma and her sister Jasmine), going for car rides to hang her head out the window, getting tummy rubs, playing in tents and under tables, zooming around the house and yard, sitting on the porch or in the front yard feeling free, destroying toys and taking all the stuffing out, protecting the squeakers from the toys, and playing with Jasmine.

Mya always had a smile and it could brighten anyone’s day.  She had a sassy personality that was so entertaining to watch.  She would sass anyone and everyone who she thought needed to hear a piece of her mind.  We loved to hear her talk and bark at us, and let us know how she was feeling.   She has always done a wonderful job protecting her baby sister Jasmine from any and all things.

Mya healed a lot of our hearts when she came into our lives.  She especially helped her momma get through some dark and scary times.  She was the reason mom and grandma felt safe staying home alone.   She gave us all entertainment, love, peace, and happiness for 12 years.  On her last day she enjoyed her favorite foods spaghetti, chicken nuggets, M & M’s, steak, a bone, and a piece of birthday cake. She passed away in the arms of those who loved her the most and who she loved the most, grandpa Bob, grandma Susie, and mom Julie.  Grandma sang her goodnight song and she passed away peacefully and into heaven.   Our family takes comfort that Asher, Mya’s human angel brother, will now have a husky of his own to run and play with. We also take comfort that she can zoom again and run free and without pain in heaven.  Mya will leave a massive hole in our hearts that will be hard to heal.   The house will be quiet, the porch empty, the world darker, but heaven gained the best and sweetest husky and they are so lucky to have her.  She was always an angel, but now she has her wings. Mya was beautiful, loving, vibrant, sassy, quirky, and perfect in every way.

Rest Easy and Fly High Sweet girl.  Your family loves and misses you.
