Steven Bailey Hullett was born in Ames, IA. He spent his early years at Iowa State University where he graduated with an honorary degree in Pogona studies. After graduating, he started his career as a stay-at-home lizard. He kept this position for the remainder of his life.
Steven never found that special someone, but used his extra free time to be an animal ambassador for reptiles. Once anyone met him a new appreciation for lizards was born.
While it continues to be heavily debated whether or not Steven was the laziest bearded dragon to every exist, he still found brief burst of energy to chase crickets and later in life, hornworms. An activity he pursued up to his death.
Steven is survived by his mother Ericka, father Bailey, sister Rebecca and brother James. Grandparents Shelley, Mark, Carol, Mark and Rick. And his great-grandparents Pat and Telly. He made them smile everyday of his long 14 years on this earth and brought immense joy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hornworms of America Foundation, an organization Steven felt strong about.
