Artemis "Artie" Schwantz

January 1, 2017 — August 15, 2020

Faribault

Artemis was a 3 year old Bearded Dragon, that was loved greatly. She spend the first year of her life with a teenage boy who could not give her the time and affection she needed. So our family decided to adopt her and she quickly became the sweetest little reptile family member we could have asked for. We loved to call her “Artie Farty” and “Roz” because she often looked like the secretary Roz from the movie Monsters Inc.

Artemis loved to eat lots of crickets, kale but mostly she loved Mango! When she would finish eating mango her little mouth would be stained yellow, so I’d was her face as she sat wiggling in my hands but she truly enjoyed it. She would spend long hours basking in her hammock just watching the world around her. Her love for us was infectious, she could just make us smile and have someone to always talk to. She loved to cuddle up at night in our arms or lay on our chest with her head nuzzled into my hair. She absolutely loved to look out the big picture windows with her little hands pressed against the glass. She enjoyed sitting out in our garden licking grass and plants as I worked next to her.  Artemis loved to lick her big doggie brother Aries, and spent many hours roaming the house and yard with him.

Artemis taught us that even the smallest of gods creatures can leave enormous prints on our heart. She will be missed so dearly. Artemis is survived by her human parents: Dave and Randi, two human brothers: Ryan and Jacob, and best doggie brother: Aries.

A very warm thank you to Parker-Kohl for their utmost respect and kindness, while helping us with our loss. We are very grateful for their services.

We Love You Artemis.
