Lucy Springer

Lucy was born March 4, 2013 in Faribault. She crossed the rainbow bridge with the help of Heartland Animal Hospital May 4, 2021.

She was born as a feral outside. She gave birth to two kittens May 22, 2014. A male and female. She had them hidden under the neighbor’s house and they were all rescued June 19, 2014 because they were in danger of drowning. Sadly, her little girl cat passed away. That left her with the male cat who we named Jaxson who she nursed until he was bigger than her. While she was nursing Jaxson she also adopted two girl kittens because their mother had been killed by a car. She was such a wonderful mother. She doted on her babies, nursing them, cleaning them, playing with them. She ended up losing the girl cats due to cancer. First Bootsie, then Dolly. She pushed through the heartbreak by doing things she loved, like chasing her favorite pink mouse through the house and watching hockey. She was definitely a hockey girl. She loved sitting in front of the tv swatting at the puck. She was a total love bug. She would greet me at the door when I came home from work and follow me to the kitchen to jump on one of the chairs to give me a high five almost every night. She is survived by her son Jaxson.
